5th Annual Shopping Spree
For the 5th year in a row Chicago Bears Linebacker Lance Briggs, hosted 50 kids from Chicago Housing Authority on a holiday shopping spree with the proceeds from his September’s Jock N’ Bowl Charity Bowling tournament.
Students in grades 3 through 8 who displayed qualities such as respectfulness, positive attitude, best effort, and daily on-time attendance were eligible to enter for a chance to participate in the shopping spree. Each child will received a $200 gift certificate from Lance to shop with.
“Giving back to the city of Chicago is something that I am proud to do, this is our 5th year of taking less fortunate children on a holiday shopping spree” said Lance regarding his Briggs4Kidz Foundation event. “I am especially moved to do my part when it involves our youth, because that’s where it all starts”
